The Rules of the Pen

1. Be Kind, Always

Respect each other’s ideas, experiences, and journeys. Disagreement? Cool. Disrespect? Please, not here.

2. No Gatekeeping

Remember. Whether it’s a seasoned eco-warrior or someone looking to keep their cucumbers from getting squidgy at the ends. Everyone should feel at home.

Share your knowledge; no snobbery allowed. Everyone starts (and ends) somewhere in this eco-thing.

3. Stay on Topic (Mostly)

We’re here for sustainability and to help each other build resilience. But we all love a good tangent once in a while. Just keep the heart of the conversation relevant.

4. No Junk or Spam

We love your hacks, product reviews, and expertise – but please no blatant self-promotion, MLM schemes, or get-rich-quick pitches.

5. Check Your Facts

Share tips and ideas, but avoid spreading misinformation, especially around sustainability. If you’re not sure, say so. Also, if it’s your opinion, say so.

6. Keep It Family-Friendly(ish)

Let’s aim for a PG-13 vibe. ”No explicit content, hate speech, or profanity” – anything that would make (some of your) grandmothers blush.

7. Credit Where It’s Due

If you were inspired by someone else’s work, give them credit

8. Let me Know

See something sketchy? Use the report function. Help to keep the Goat’s Pen safe.

Why a goat?

The myth about goats is that they think everything on earth is put there for them to devour.

The truth? Goats approach everything as potentially consumable., But, being intelligent, curious, investigative and selective creatures, they only consume what will sustain them.
